Company Overview:

Radlink was founded in 1999. The Redondo Beach California-based international company was established to help healthcare providers manage enormous volume of x-ray exams by digitizing x-ray into an electronic form.

Radlink presently offers fully integrated solutions for film to digital migration. Products include film digitizers, Computered Radiography systems, CR Internal and Standalone PACS systems, and Software applications for the medical imaging workflow.

The management team comes with over 75 years of experience in the digital imaging and radiology field.  Radlink has emerged as an innovator in computed radiography and has developed a proprietary laser technology that is superior to the existing standard.

Radlink.com Thomas T. Hacking, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

With more than 34 years experience as an investment banker and investor, Thomas T. Hacking is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Radlink. Mr. Hacking also serves as chairman and CEO of Hacking and Co., an investment and merchant banking firm he founded in 1992. In addition to other companies, Hacking and Co. has served as a consultant to Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors L.P., a firm that manages approximately $10 billion in alternative investments through a number of investment partnerships.

Mr. Hacking is a graduate of the University of Portland and the UCLA Anderson School (executive program).  Mr. Hacking currently serves as a Trustee of the John Thomas Dye School, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Bureau of Southern California and served as a Regent of the University of Portland.  Mr. Hacking served in the Marine Corps (Captain) from 1968 to 1971.

Radlink.com Luke J. Huang, President

Luke J. Huang has had over 15 years experience in software and system development for a wide range of Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations, including UCLA Hospital, DirecTV, Canon, Washington Mutual, Procom, Starwood, Toshiba and Safeco. He has extensively worked and consulted in the medical imaging and biomedical informatics industries, to implement and manage total solutions for PACS and genetic data mining and analysis, and develop innovative DICOM storage appliance products, with both managerial and engineering roles as manager, software and system architect.

Mr. Huang holds a B.S. degree in Physics from Lanzhou University, a M.S. degree in Physics from Case Western Reserve University. He was a Ph.D candidate in Physics at UCLA.

Radlink.com Peter J. Julien, M.D. Chief Medical Offier

Dr. Julien is a graduate of Tulane University (B.A. 1962); University of Miami (M.D. 1969); Yale University (Medical Internship, 1970 and Internal medicine residency, 1971) and the University of California at San Francisco (Diagnostic Radiology 1975). With nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. Julien is currently director of Thoracic Imaging at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He also has served as associate director of Radiology and director of Mammography. In 2005, Dr. Julien was named the Cedar-Sinai Physician of the Year. In addition to a long career at Cedar-Sinai for more than 25 years, he was an assistant clinical professor of Radiology at UCSF and UCLA Medical Centers. He is widely published and certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Radlink.com Bob Calissendorff,  Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Calissendorff began his career as a CPA for the Big 4 Public Accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers followed by over twenty years as a corporate accounting and consulting executive.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington State University with a dual Bachelors degree in marketing and accounting and a Masters degree in accounting.

Radlink.com Alan Davalou, Vice President of Sales

Alan Davalou is Vice President of Sales at Radlink overseeing the company’s overall marketing strategy, business development efforts, and Worldwide Sales.  He brings more than 25 years experience in Digital Imaging, Marketing & Sales, and Business development.

Prior to joining Radlink, Alan was a senior Marketing executive for product strategy at the Xerox Office Group.  Previous jobs include: Senior Program Manager, Director of Software Engineering and Manager of Software Development for the Xerox Production and Office Printing Business units.  Davalou’s career began as a software engineer in image processing unit for key Image Systems.

Davalou earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering and his executive Masters of Business Administration at the University of Southern California.

Radlink.com Wenchao Tao, Vice President of Software Products

Mr. Tao has over 15 years of experience in medical imaging informatics. At Radlink, he is responsible for the design and development of all image acquisition, storage, and distribution software, as well as tools for integration with other electronic medical record systems. Prior to joining Radlink, Mr. Tao was the Operations Manager and Senior RIS/PACS Software Engineer for UCLA Healthcare's Imaging Informatics group. He successfully led many highly visible projects, including the implementation of a new, enterprise PACS, the optimization of RIS/PACS workflow, and the development of the UCLA Radiology Business Information System. Mr. Tao also served as the IT director for a world-renowned medical imaging research group that manages a large-scale MRI clinical trial involving hundreds of data acquisition centers around the country.

Mr. Tao has a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from UCLA.

Joe Davis has advised Radlink, Inc. on a variety of business and financial matters over the past 3 years. Mr. Davis is a graduate of The University of Texas and The Harvard Business School. During Mr. Davis's forty year career he has held positions in Senior Financial Management, and served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of several of public companies. Mr. Davis has served at various times as a member of The Board of Directors of publicly traded (15) and privately held (8) corporations.

A. Redmond "Rusty" Doms is a graduate of Pomona College (1962) and the University of Southern California (1966) with an MBA in Finance. He served in the United States Army as a Captain between 1962 and 1964. His professional experience includes being the CEO, Owner, and President of Karsten Realty Advisors, providing management services for pension funds and development management services. Mr. Doms is also involved with his community and non-profit groups, including roles as a trustee for Pomona College, the Children's Bureau, and Saint John's Health Center Foundation.

Radlink.com Ralph Hutchings, M.D.

Dr. Hutchings is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Medical School (1963). Dr. Hutchings spent two years in Germany as a captain and medical officer in charge of the medical care of an armored battalion. Dr. Hutchings then completed six years of cardiothoracic surgery training under the preeminent Drs. Michael DeBakey and Denton Cooley.

During his thirty years in practice in California Dr. Hutchings has founded and led three cardiothoracic surgery programs at local hospitals. He is the Founder and President of the Southern California Heart Institute, a non-profit organization that has funded heart surgery-related programs. He has been a member of the teaching faculty at UCLA Medical Center for 25 years and Chief of Cardiac Surgery at the VA Hospital. He has served as an expert on medical-legal cases, including medical device patent cases. Dr. Hutchings retired from practice in 2001.

Radlink.com Judith Licklider

Licklider has more than 35 years of experience as a business executive and board member at various organizations. She was a training director at Sawyer Business College, spent five years in the marketing division at IBM and was the founder of Cyberlink Voice Messaging. In addition, she has served on the board of directors for a number of major organizations in Los Angeles, including the Saint John's Health Center Foundation, the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education, Los Angeles Youth Programs, and the development board for Marymount High School.

Licklider earned a bachelor of science degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a masters of education degree from Duquesne University.


Radlink.com Nicholas M. Halikis, M.D.

Dr. Nicholas M. Halikis is a prominent, practicing orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon and is the CEO for Torrance Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Group. He also serves as Chief of the Department of Surgery at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. He is a graduate of USC (B.S. 1983, M.D. 1987) and completed the USC/LA County residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1992. Thereafter, he completed one year in training at the University of Florida’s Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship. Nick has served in many community organizations including several years as a board director for the National Disabled Foundation.

Radlink.com Richard K. Gerlach, Co-Founder

As a co-founder of Radlink, Mr. Gerlach has redefined the medical film-digitizing market with the first introduction of solid-state image scanning. He has founded and led two medical imaging companies through the IPO process. Mr. Gerlach is noted as an industry pioneer in disk recording and for the development of early floppy disk drives.

Mr. Gerlach holds 16 patents and a B.S. in Physics from Louisiana Polytechnic University, plus graduate studies at Temple University.
